Fun Fair Positive Soccer

I took Cobey to his soccer game today-which by the way was a beautiful day- where his league is called Fun Fair Positive soccer. All the kids just run around and chase the ball and it is just a hoot. As a parent in Fun Fair Positive Soccer we are supposed to cheer the kids on and create a good atmosphere for them and help raise up their little self esteems. One couple in particular though are always yelling at their little boy telling him to chase the ball, kick harder, stand here, stand there, etc... they are soccer parents. I guess I can't blame them too much though because their little boy has a severe case of ADD. One time I made the mistake of asking this kid a yes or no question and he went on to give me a seven minute answer while jumping up and down and tugging at his ears, pants, hair and whatever else he could get his hands on. Then there is the little girl who is afraid of the ball. It is so funny to watch her as she slowly approaches the ball and gives it the softest kick she can possibly manage. Then she will turn and smile at her parents who oh so kindly remind her that the ball cannot hurt her and to kick it harder. All in all I love going to 6 year old soccer games, can you blame me?
